QuietDesk is built to collect nothing about you. This page explains exactly what that means, in plain language, for students, parents and teachers.

The short version

• No accounts, sign-ups or log-ins.
• No analytics, tracking pixels or advertising, and no tracking cookies.
• The timer, planner and checklist run entirely in your browser.
• Nothing you type on this site is sent to us or anyone else.

What stays on your device

To be useful between visits, the site saves three small things in your browser's local storage: your timer lengths and sound setting, what you've written in the weekly planner, and which checklist items you've ticked. This information never leaves your device. You can remove it at any time with the "Clear planner" and "Untick all" buttons, or by clearing your browser's site data.

On shared or school computers, other people using the same browser profile may be able to see your planner. Clear it when you've finished if that matters to you.

Fonts

Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts. When your browser downloads them, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information, as it would for any web request. We don't receive or store that information.

If you email us

If you write to hello@quietdesk.space, we use your message and email address only to reply. We don't add you to any mailing list, and we delete correspondence once it's no longer needed. Students under 13 should ask a parent, guardian or teacher before emailing us.

Your rights

Because we don't hold personal data from the site itself, there is usually nothing to request. If you have emailed us, you can ask to see or delete that correspondence at any time.

Changes

If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before anything new is introduced.
